!!! Welcome to the auction of this Very nice clean and honest little car in the best of colours Silver metalic !! As you are probably aware the Skoda brand in now part of the VAG group owned by vw, the fabia model is based on the VW Polo using its chassis and floor pan. All switches button locks etc are VW, But the best bit you can own one of these at a fraction of the polo price! This one is a very straight and honest example , i purchased this direct from a Toyota main dealers where they took in part exchange a brand new car, I have had a basic valet done on it and I must say it really does look well!!, extraemly clean!! A very practical with nice large boot space, but without having that large car feel! As its only a 1200cc make it very sensible to run/insure and maintain with the quality build of a VW. Whether you are interested in this or not, I can not recommend any higher! Anyway enough of me rattling on, back to the car details. It was first registered on an 04 registration. The specification is very good and includes to name a few. Air con, elec windows etc, and the all important power steering, (which is a must on a fabia ), 2 x airbags, and it boosts a very comfortable dark grey interior , the list goes on! This is a superb car for the year that drives really well without any known mechanical faults, brakes, engine gearbox all seem great. It has MOT until 29th April 2012 and lots of service history, So ready to go without any worries. I am in possession of the full V5 (log book ) service books, handbooks wallet etc and the car is hpi clear ! The interior appearance is super and has certainly not seen excessive wear. The bodywork is equally as good and there are no major marks to mention very straight and genuine throughout really, just the odd stone chip/mark as you would expect of a car of this age they really are hardly noticeable. I have recently had the cambelt and water pump done and a service at the same time. So it’s good for a good few miles. | The car does have a few slight modifications which are drilled and grooved discs all around they drone a bit but give much more stopping power than standard discs. I have had the car lowered by 40 mm as they look like there on stilts as standard. It also benefits from a nice pioneer double dim cd/dvd player with satnav, ipod/usb connection and blootooth hands free and reverse camera. This is an awesome piece of kit you don’t have to mess about with sat nav’s and no worries about been on the phone. These are £800 new and then plus the extras.it also has a fli sub and amp in the boot. The wheels are off the 2007 special edition which is standard this colour. Engine and Gearbox - Runs very well good miles to the gallon - last check I was getting around 400miles on a tank costing around £50 to fill urban 28.8mpg extra urban 50.4mpg combined 39.2mpg Timing Chain and Sprockets replaced last year, believe this to be a common fault on this engine, became very noisy but never failed carried out by VAG Specialist - VW Technik Huddersfield (www.vwtechnik.co.uk) At last service thermostat and housing replaced along with coolant temp sensor. Clutch replaced, again carried out by VW Technik Last time at the garage I asked the technician to have a look over the car, He says that it is in very good condition all round. Bodywork Excellent for Age - No signs of rust at all - this car has been well looked after, washed weekly 1 small scratch on back bumper, size of 20pence piece 1 dent in passenger side door hardly noticeable, tried to take photo of this but doesn`t show up Tiny chip in windscreen - never effected MOT - been there for years, no problems. Wheels and Tyres Standard 13inch factory steel wheels All 5 tyres have 5mls and over of legal tread. It has been carefully maintained, regularly serviced and I have a full service record for the vehicle with many receipts. The cam-belt was replaced at the manufacturers recommended interval. It has recently had two new winter tyres put on the front wheels. It has not been involved in any accidents nor has it had any repairs. There is the odd stone chip and scratch on the bumpers but otherwise I think the paintwork looks incredible for the age. The light grey seats were scotchguarded when new, but have a few marks here and there. The car is due for a new MOT in March and I am happy to take care of this before you buy it.
