2010 SKODA SUPERB ELEGANCE TDI CR SILVER
.
Reluctantly for sale is my Skoda Superb Estate 2.0 CR Tdi Elegance. This is the top of the range model and has all the equipment you would expect from...>
a premium range car.It has the awesome 2 litre diesel engine, with a 6 speed gearbox, that kicks out 170 bhp whilst managing to return 45mpg on shortish journeys and 50+ on long journeys.Whilst driving this car you will appreciate the comfort from the electrically adjustable, heated front seats and anybody sitting in the rear has plenty of legroom. The photos show the room with the seats far back as I am over 6ft tall!! Whilst talking about room the boot is huge. The entertainment system contains the Sat Nav, Radio, Bluetooth Phone and DVD player, all can be controlled by a press of the button on the steering wheel and using the voice activation. It has a CD player but also contains a 17gb hard drive that you just upload your music to and saves having cd cases in the car!!Other equipment includes the rain sensitive wipers, the auto zenon headlights that move as into the corners as you turn the steering wheel, dual climate control, trip computer, several airbags and more. The quality of the full leather interior and trim is fantastic, the body of this beautiful car is excellent no dents or scratches etc. Viewing very welcome but please no time wasters or tire kickers. This car is advertised elsewhere so I do have the right to remove this advert at anytime.Any questions please ask.If you are in any doubt about the spec and quality of the Superb please read the following review:http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/carreviews/longtermtests/274573/skoda_superb_estate.html X

Can it fight off new rival? July 2010 Few cars have won as many plaudits from the Auto Express team as the Skoda Superb. It beat big names such as the Ford Mondeo and Vauxhall Insignia to claim the large family car crown at our 2009 New Car Awards, and saw off 43 other hopefuls to land our Family Car World Cup earlier this year. But while you wouldn’t back against the big Czech, the Saab does steal a march on its rival in terms of styling. The Skoda’s imposing nose and elongated  body is let down by an awkward rear end, which is compromised by the TwinDoor boot. We actually prefer the look of the sharper Estate. Elegance spec does make the most of the styling, though, with chrome exterior trim and a set of attractive alloys. The Skoda isn’t as visually appealing as its rival inside, either; while the Saab has a swooping, sporty design, the Superb is full of conservative, straight lines. Impeccable build quality and top-grade plastics give it a higher-quality feel, though. And the Elegance will leave 9-5 buyers feeling distinctly short-changed when it comes to kit.Despite its lower price tag, the Superb features sat-nav, full leather upholstery and no fewer than seven airbags as standard. The momentum is maintained further back. The back seats give even more legroom than in the Saab and the 565-litre boot trumps the 515 litres of the 9-5. Fold the rear seats and this liberates an incredible 1,670 litres of load space. Plus, you get that option of opening the bootlid as a hatch. After a sluggish start, the Skoda has edged ahead of the 9-5 – so does it press this advantage home on the road? Armed with the best common-rail diesel and gearbox technology the VW Group has to offer, it leaves its newer rival trailing. Our figures tell only part of the story, because the Superb sprinted from 0-60mph in a fuss-free 8.6 seconds – that’s 1.4 seconds faster than the 9-5. Our in-gear tests were even more revealing. The Skoda’s 3.4-second advantage from 50-70mph in sixth highlights its lower ratios; the Saab got into its stride only at motorway pace.Away from the confines of the test track, the Superb underlines its superiority with a more polished dynamic performance, too. On undulating roads where the Saab floats and bounces, the Skoda retains its composure. Its confidence-inspiring chassis delivers precise steering and a compliant ride, leaving its poor braking performance the only black mark. The DSG gearbox is smoother and faster to respond than the conventional auto of its rival, and the Skoda’s more controlled suspension also provides better ride comfort. All of which leaves the Saab fighting an uphill battle for honours. In detail* Price: £24,875* Engine: 2.0-litre 4cyl in-line* Power: 168bhp* 0-60mph: 8.6 seconds* AE economy: 37.9mpg* Claimed CO2: 159g/km BACK TO TOP What Next COMPARE CAR LOANS COMPARE CAR INSURANCE For more breaking car news and reviews, subscribe to Auto Express magazine. No you are not because your daddy in germany made a comparison between passat cc and mercedes CLS and prefered the passat cc. I should know that the same stupid juice flows through your body, stop waisting internet time and bandwith. By giorikas81 on 2 August, 2010, 5:08pm What kind of stupid uninformed comment is that? Everybody knows that VW quality is better than Mercedes, and Skodas are some of the best constructed cars in the whole VAG stable. Some people cannot even spell 'wasted', so so much for their opinion. There is always the question of price wisely included in your results, so the Passat and Skoda were bound to come first - Mercs are grossly overpriced and disappointing in real quality terms. Poor old Saab need a real injection of something novel and wonderful in order to really pick themselves up off he ground again. By kingsley_flint on 3 August, 2010, 7:31am distinctive styling but ugly right, skoda does have very distinctive styling other than ugly. By reyutseng on 3 August, 2010, 7:47am Shame about the back The Superb looks fine, except from the back. Given it's other qualities, I'll forgive it this glitch. Take the estate, and you don't even have the problem. I really want SAAB to do well, but until they can lose their GM underpinnings, they are going to struggle. Ford Mondeo, Vauxhall Insignia, Volkswagen Passat estates Do you remember Skoda jokes? I mention the subject reluctantly because it's been a while since these now appealing rather than appalling Czech cars have been a fit subject for humour. What's more, it was hardly the fault of Skoda, which had to labour for years under the limitations of a planned economy, that its products weren't fully competitive with Western models produced under far more favourable conditions. Nevertheless, when I drove this impressive new estate version of the company's big Superb, I couldn't help but be reminded of one of the jokes in particular. "How do you double the value of a Skoda?" it started. The rather predictable answer was: "Fill its tank with fuel." But now, such is the transformation that has been wrought at Skoda, a completely different punchline suggests itself: "Stick an Audi badge on it."Perhaps I'd better explain. The starting price for the new Superb estate is just £17,715, but over at Audi, the entry point for a not dissimilar agglomeration of Volkswagen-group components wrapped in an equally handsome body in the form of the A6 Avant, is £27,390 – not quite, I agree, twice as much, but certainly a great deal more. In fact, if, at a late stage in its development, the powers-that-be at Volkswagen had decided the Superb estate was just too good to be a Skoda and should instead be sold as an Audi, and priced accordingly, I suspect that they would have got away with it. But today's Skodas aren't just about providing you with more for your money than the opposition do – although that was certainly the main basis of their appeal five or 10 years ago. Rather, at the same time as keeping its keen pricing, Skoda has been developing some of the attributes of a premium brand. Its products have a growing reputation for quality and reliability, and have also acquired a distinctive family look that embodies precisely what they are all about; the cars' rather upright, square-rigged, conservatively handsome shapes are relieved by just enough intriguing quirky detailing to remind us that they are Czech, for all the German engineering they contain. The Superb estate is the culmination of two decades of hard but inspired work at Skoda; its rear styling overcomes the slight visual awkwardness of the standard model while its combination of space, comfort, quality, value and performance is almost impossible to beat. Isolation in a good way, because you feel cut-off from the world, quietly going about your business, the car not bothering you. But also isolation in a bad way, because there is absolutely no thrill in driving this latest Superb. Treat it as an A-to-B tool, and you'll be OK; anything else will disappoint. At least the isolation from the 2.0 TDI is a good thing. These VW diesels have never been raucous, but sometimes there was more rattle than you got in other cars. Skoda must have bunged some extra noise insulation under the bonnet, because the Superb is far better. You can just about hear it, but it won't bother you and it helps with the overall feeling of quality you get from the Superb. And despite this being a pretty big car (you'll need something like a Mercedes S-Class to match the rear legroom on offer here), the 140bhp 2.0-litre engine has plenty of power and torque to pull it along. OK, so the turbo entry point isn't the smoothest, but at least it cuts in at 1,600rpm so you're not constantly changing gear. Plus, for those who find a manual too involving for this whole experience, there's always the DSG gearbox. Now share it More More Skoda Superb cars we've driven... The front end gets a reworked radiator grille and the 3D-shaped headlamps have been widened. Skoda introduced the 85bhp 1.2-litre TSI petrol engine on the Fabia when it tweaked the model earlier this year. We tested this unit with a six-speed manual gearbox. Even though this model has only an output of 85bhp, the car is fun to drive and feels more powerful than it actually is - 0 to 62mph is a respectable 11.8 seconds and it has a top speed of 111mph. The 'box is really well geared and overtaking on single-carriageways is a pleasure rather than the chore it would be in some rivals that have similar power. Yes it's good to drive, but the Fabia also fares very well when it comes to running costs. This variant will average 54.3mpg and it will emit 121g/km of CO2 emissions. Handling is go-kart like: the Fabia is really well set up even if the steering is a little vague and could be weighted better. Skoda has set the car up between a mix of comfort and sport and it works well on this model. If you are after a sportier Fabia then you should take a look at the new Fabia vRS as it is a cracking car from the Czech maker. Our test car was in Elegance trim and came packed with standard kit. Optional equipment included leather upholstery (£560) and a space saver spare wheel (£45). Also consider Ford Fiesta The new Fiesta is stylish and fun to drive and borrows many ideas from larger Fords such as keyless entry and Bluetooth hands-free phone compatibility. VW Polo One of the most upmarket models you can buy in the small car sector. Refined, stylish and incredibly frugal if you pick a BlueMotion variant. Toyota Yaris Majoring in reliability, the Yaris is spacious and well-built and comes with a strong engine line-up. The Yaris also fares well in residual values. Added: 20 August 2010 18:47 It is a common complaint that the Fabia steering is over-assisted and lacks weight. However, the Fabia's steering assistance is fully electronic (i.e. no pump / fluid) and therefore the level of assistance can be adjusted via the diagnostic connection. Since initial configuration happens in the factory, many dealers are not aware that this is available, however it is well publicised in the online Skoda communities.
