listed it earlier in the year but the winning bidder was not able to complete so I decided to keep it a little longer and used it through the summer season. Originally registered in former Czechoslovakia in November 1970, this base model saloon had one owner up until 2004. He apparently drove it very infrequently, the car having covered only 7000kms when I purchased it in the November of the same year. The car is now showing 16200kms on the clock which is around 10,000 miles from new! Although I have no history to prove this, the condition of the car is that of a very low mileage with no wear to the floormats, pedals, seats etc, everything looks like new inside and exactly as it did when it came out of the factory. The car has been on shown on the Skoda stand a couple of times at the NEC classic car show and always gets positive comments when I show her. In my ownership I have carried out a full bare metal strip & repaint (cost 4K, proffessionally with pictures 2007) , replacement of the entire braking system, full service each year, new tyres all round, wheels shotblasted & repainted, sourcing of all correct parts to original spec. Everything works on this car and it drives exactly as it should. The interior is lovely with no wear or damage and with a wonderful air of cheapness to it that only eastern european cars could offer at the time!. Everything works exactly as it should. I have fitted intertia reel seatbelts but still have the original static ones. There is a genuine Czech Tesla radio fitted with a wacky "remote" control device. The exterior is super too with no dents or scratches except those shown in the pictures; the paint has a really good shine & finish. All of the trim is present and correct with no damage, including the novelty "jack in the box" petrol filler cap. The headlamps are UK spec halogens although I still have the originals. The only areas of deterioration are as follows: Rear "S100" badge faded, small patch of paint blisters to engine cover, some tiny paint bubbles to the leading edge of the luggage compartment lid, the corners of front & rear screen rubbers are cracked, paint chip to trailing edge of bonnet/lid. Underneath the car still has the original underseal and there are no areas of major corrosion, I have treated any surface corrosion with waxoyl. The luggage compartment is clean with spare wheel, jack, toolkit, warning triange etc. The engine compartment is also clean but I have not tried to over polish this, just to keep it looking very much as it did when new. Driving a car of this sort does require some effort and an open mind, it is certainly not as refined or as comfortable when compared to many Western European products of the period, there are some trim rattles & it is quite noisy as it was designed as "basic" transport for the masses. However the 1 litre engine is willing and loves to be revved, the handling entertaining & the steering light. Don`t worry about driving on the left, you really wont be overtaking very much and in any event visibility is superb all round. The car will cruise at around 60mph all day without fuss, and she has been up to 80 with a fair wind and a slope! The car is also very reliable and starts readily each time, doesn`t overheat and have any strange noises. Why not drive something different and be the talk of the show? You really wont be dissapointed with the condition of this car, I have not seen a better one in the UK. If you don`t like to follow the herd then you will have a hoot in this. Please ask if you have any questions. I also have a shed full of spares including body panels etc to go with the car, and parts are still readly available. Insurance is cheap (£100 fully comp for me), free road tax and 35-40mpg economy. The MOT is valid until April 2011, the only advisory was slight play in the steering idler and I have spare parts to fix that. i bought the car from someone who works at my dad`s company so i know alot about the car and what it has done. I just had the car MOT on april 27th and it expires on may 12th.Its taxed till the end of october.The car comes with electric windows all round,electric mirrors,air conditioning,6 cd multichanger,PAS,central locking,air bags,front fog ligts,on board computer,height adjusting seats.The car is in good condition for its age,it has a few chips which you would expect and a scuff on the corner ot the front bumper as my photo shows. Also at christmas time my back window screen shattered and i had to cover it over with cardboard using duck tape to hold it down and when i removed the tape its made the paint go funny in places round the boot and at the top of the window on the roof as my photo shows. Overall the car is in good clean condition in and out and is a very good and reliable car.The car is mechanically very very good and it flew through its MOT with no problems at all. The only problem with the car is about 8 weeks ago for some reason the central locking stopped working from the drivers door,its just solid and won`t move but it works fine everywhere else.I have both keys with the car. The rear wiper arm got broken off but i have got a new one that i shall fit before the car is sold. The rear washer seems to be blocked and wont work at present but am sure it`s nothing serious and was working fine until a few weeks ago. The engine management light comes on at random mileages, the fault code and description when read by garage says o2 Sensor Circuit Bank 1 Sensor 1, which is the pre-cat sensor which has been replaced with a genuine bosch lambda sensor which is working ok, on seeking advise from a couple of garages, as the lambda has been replaced with a good quality replacement part, plus the cat convertor is brand new also, this has been put down to some kind of air/vacuum leak suspected around main air intake section or breather pipes, cannot find it for looking though!. Apart from that the car is fine and drives no problem but will sell for a fair price due to the car having the problem. I can include my own car scanner reader so when the engine light comes on you can easily turn it off again an clear the fault. I am sure it is simple to fix once found the air leak but i havent got the time and no expert with cars so would rather leave that job to someone that knows the fabia engine better. it for production car trials but like a lot of these things work is more inportant at the moment. It has been off the road since 2006 it has been stored in a barn so the rust has not got into it. I put a new battery on it the other day and a drop of fuel and away it went i have driven it around the farm to make sure it is all ok it doesnt overheat or any of those sort of things. As you can see from the photos ther is a small amount of rust in the rear wheel arches and a little bit at the front of the n/s door sill it has four very good tyres on alloy wheels. The trim is cloth black it is worn in a couple of places where the sun has got on it there is very little more i can tell you about it mecanically it is very very good it drives superb brakes everything is good just one thing i think it will need looking at maybe just a good clean is the fuel pump sometimes it needs priming to suck the fuel up onece its going its fine; If you would lke to come and see it drive it its not a problem i am starting the auction at £300 as i have already have an offer to take it away for that if you need any more info call me i have my phone with me all the time but work long hours and sometimes dont get home of an eve to answer e/mails thanks for looking Colin 07768321691 X

ECU(engine control unit) to fail.I have been told the ECU is repairable.The Engine itself is fantastic and never failed me other than the alternator overcharging, it never had a misfire or knock and i covered quite a few miles in the short time i was using it. The battery fitted to the car will need topping up with de-ionised water then charging but was a brand new battery.The bodywork is ok for the age with only minor rust spots and car wash scratches, which with elbow grease will polish out.The car still has mot until the middle of November, unfortunately the tax has expired.
